Your voice stays under your control
TranscriLive processes speech in real time. In on-premise mode — the reference deployment — everything runs on your own infrastructure: no recording, no audio storage by default, no data sent to the cloud. In our hosted SaaS mode, your streams pass through the platform we operate, for the duration of processing, under the DPA. Here is, in detail, how we protect your data and your speakers.
What happens to the voice
No recording by default
Speech is transcribed and translated on the fly, in memory, then not retained. No audio file is recorded or stored unless you explicitly enable an export.
Ephemeral diarization
Speaker identification “who speaks, when” works in real time, for the duration of the session. By default, no voice print is kept after the session.
Voice prints — a framed option
If recurring speaker recognition is enabled (optional), the voice print is biometric data (GDPR art. 9): it requires explicit consent, is encrypted at rest, isolated per organization, and erasable in one click. It is never a replayable voice.
Voice & cloning
Synthetic voices and any voice cloning (from a sample provided with consent) run locally. Models and voices stay on your infrastructure.
Personal data protection
Roles & processing (art. 28)
Your organization remains the data controller. TranscriLive / Ambassadia acts as a technical processor, under a Data Processing Agreement (DPA, GDPR art. 28) defining purposes, durations and security measures.
Your rights
Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection. As processing involves no audio retention by default — and is fully local in on-premise mode — exercising these rights is immediate and under your control.
Minimization & purpose
Only the data strictly necessary for transcription, translation and accessibility is processed, for the sole duration of the session.
Transfers outside the EU
In on-premise mode: none — your data never passes through any third-party service or server outside your infrastructure. In hosted SaaS mode: hosting location, retention periods and any sub-processors are documented in the DPA.

EAA & RGAA: accessibility is no longer optional
Since 28 June 2025, the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) requires accessibility for many digital products and services. National accessibility rules already frame public-sector digital accessibility.
TranscriLive makes your speech accessible — live captioning for deaf and hard-of-hearing people, multilingual translation, vocalization for blind and visually-impaired people — and, in on-premise mode, without transferring your data to the cloud.
